another doctor's appt in the morning

Hello everyone! I have posted before and gotten a lot of great advice. This club has helped me so much. My last post was about not being able to exercise. I had my check-up two months ago and my heart rate was 155. The doctor said that is why I am having such a hard time exercising. We did a monitor and it is staying around that rate most of the time. What's Wrong with me cont.

Hi, I am feeling somewhat better. My short term memory is still a bit off, but I am better than I was. I have called the Doc. and they can see me on Monday next. He isn't sure that it is my heart so we will get it checked out.

Phone Checker

Today I got the phone transmitter in the mail and I completed the checkup. But when I put the magnet over the pm....it felt strange. Like my heart was beating harder, thumping harder...I asked if it was supposed to "feel funny" and the lady on the phone said no...not really.

What is wrong with me????

Am loosing my mind? That is the question of the day. My sort term memory is gone! I can't remember if I mailed something, lost it, or completed it? This is making me feel just like before the pacemaker. I feel panicked and dreadfully full of that awful feeling of doom. I think I want to cry because I still know I should "know" things. I haven't felt this way in a long time. I am due for a new pacer soon but I was fine 2 days ago, but now I don't know!

10 yr old with pacemaker/ defibrillator

i babysit a 10 year old with a pacemaker/ defibrillator, she in on her second one now. she got it when she was 5 or 6 i'm not quite sure. but recently like last month she had to have her first one replaced and now lately i've noticed changes in her. she is lying about if she ate or not like she tells her mom she's eaten breakfast here and tell's me that she ate breakfast at home. things like that. so i'm worried about her. i know there is not a lot i can do because i'm not her parent, but i figu...

Really Concerned !!! Has the pacemaker for a week

Hello,

I had recently implanted a PaceMaker 1 Week ago. I'm only 16 years old and dont realy have experience with this device and is realy concerned about it . But i feel a kind of heart beat in my left chest - its not painfull but just annoying. sometimes when i dont think about it i fell it - but when im not its as usual.

please advice me what to do next and who to contact - the General Practioner or The hospital ???

can someone please tell me what a good heart rate should be. mine keeps changing from about 60 up to 80 and i'm just sitting here. and sometime it feels like it skips a beat. i have had my pm for 3 weeks tomorrow.and i can feel it in my ears thump thump thump drives me nuts

re update on cheast pains

My sister and I took our mother to the nursing home this morning. We left her there and planned on coming back tonight to see her. When we came back we asked her how was her day. She replied that when she would tip over to the left, the nurses would come and straighten her out. When she would tip over to the right, the nurses would come and straighten her out. New to ICD

One week ago today I had a Medtronic ICD implanted and have so many issues and questions to deal with. The decision for an ICD as very sudden after I died during the EP Study. Breathless Update

Hi Everyone,

Just to give you a update, i rang my PM clinic today to explain that im still getting breathless, and could it be to do with my PM?

They said def not, as i pace less tham 1%, it couldn't be anything to do with the settings.

When i say breathless i don't mean out of breath from e.g: excercise, it's more of a tight, hard to get breath feeling. I never get to the stage when i struggle to get breath.

I never had it before the PM, so don't know...

Flu Shot got me 5!

5/days in the Hospital. Fall vacation. Last Wednesday I got my flu shot. The doc said I was high risk...a good idea. Wednesday night I didn't feel too good. Thursday I toughed thru the day. I took Friday off, sat still, was congested. Barely drove to the drugstore...the doc recommended Sudafed. I took 2. Called the Cardiologist he said NO SUDAFED use Benadril. Friday night I couldn't breathe. Ambulance. In the ER they put the big air mask on me. After a couple they went to the small oxygen. At a...

Take time to smell the Flowers!!!

The leaves this year were nice, but not as spectacular. Not enough warm days of Indian Summer and a lot of rain. But anyway I travelled Route 40 East towards the Uniontown mountains. Bright oranges, reds, yellows, browns with pockets of colors all around. The Uniontown mountain is a high one that will test your car......a little hairy on the other side..steep!!! Woodland Zoo is on the far side, as well as Nemacolin Woodlands(5 star resort) Many, many leaves but today a lot are already down. Back...
