Well, I'm back. I will never go to another theme park as long as I live - I felt like a coat rack!! Staying in a park for 6 hours with nothing to do but hold people's crap is not my idea of fun. My ex was about to be strangled (by me), I had horrible dizzy, exhaustion, cold, and chest pain episodes, and my room mate and best friend came down w/ acute bronchitus!! There were some fun high lights, though. Then I found out about Peter in the middle of the library yesterday and broke down in tears -...

It's so strange how we can be so overwhelmed by sadness and depression that we actually withdraw from wanting to reach out and find solace. This was exactly how I felt since last Christmas ever since I learnt that Peter Nash was struggling with a failing heart; Although we've only met in July with Peter and Nina, we've been constantly in touch, either by phone or email. Distance was not a hindrance. However, with both our hearts giving problems bullying us to no end and as such I found not m...

Hello to all~ I've been scanning the internet the past few days searching for clues. I was deeeelighted to find this site this morning! I've read through some of the postings and was relieved to see that I'm not imagining my symptoms. What seems to be a common theme here is that the health care providers don't always know what is going on. This will be very helpful when I feel I'm getting the runaround (which fortunately I haven't experienced...yet). I am 54 and have been in very good heal...

I just went to the Fall 2008 newsletter to read about Peter Nash. First, my apologies for not having been more attentive to the postings about his passing. Having read your comments about Peter; I regret that I arrived to the PM club too late. He obviously brought a great deal of inspiration here. My deepest sympathies to his wife, family and friends and to all who will miss him.

I have a question... I would like to invite everyone who feels a connection to Peter Nash to stop what they are doing on Wednesday and join me in raising a glass in his honor. I will be dressing in my finest clothes, my best hair and makeup and wearing bright colors. Peter loved bright colorful tops on women! he he.... I will pay tribute on Wednesday to Peter. If you would like to join me... just add your name to this post. He would love to see all his friends dressed brightly, enjoying dinner...
In Peter's honor, my story
After allowing myself some time to get over the devastating shock of loosing such a friend, I feel the need to express my feelings.
Peter Nash and I were very good friends. We met here at the Pacemaker Club after I had my PM implanted in Feb. of 2005. He and I began to chat here and it didnt take long to see we had a lot in common. We soon became great friends.
Peter invited my husband and I to come to England for a visit in May of 2007. Oh my! the planning of the trip!! We ha...

With the lose of 2 of our friends I consider everyone family on here tho, it makes you think how lucky we are to have this site, to help us get thru the things that we face everyday. My thanks to Blair and anyone else that keeps this site going. Without it we would not meet the fantastic people from around the world that unite because of an illness, to make each other feel better, help one another, and give so much support to help each get thru days of heart disease. I for one have really been h...

Im sad to hear we lost another pacerclub family members today. My heart goes out to the family and friends. I never met peter but he sounds like a wonderful friend.
Last week when we lost Debbie here, I got very depressed. I remembered the last chat we had, I told her to dance like nobodys watching. Well it got me thinking, why am I not "dancing like nobodys watching"? Im recovered fine and I feel great. All my checkups have been on track and I dont go back for 6 months. So why am I still...

Hello,
I am new to this site and I am so overjoyed to have found a resource like this. I had my pacemaker put in 6/08 and have had problems with it ever since. I am still having quite significant SOB with exertion and fatigue. My pacemaker paces my heart 98-99% of time. I have had multitudes of tests and my settings have been adjusted many times. I am feeling quite frustrated that I am not feeling better. I am only 41 years old & was very active before becoming sick. I go to kar...

Hi, I'm Brenda. Soooo glad I found this site!!! I am 54, had a heart attack at 39....dx with DCM in 2002, cancer and radiation in 2007. I have been doing fine til the last couple of years and now I have almost zero energy.
I saw a new cardiologist recently. He ordered a cardiac MRI which I had Monday. Long story short, he said I am a candidate for a CRTD fibrilator (does that sound right?). Option B would be a heart transplant. I have an enlarged heart, LBBB, severe CHF (his wo...

Well end of Jan one of my insicions opened under my arm, they tried to stitch it up but found out the leads were infected plus the pacemaker pocket was infected. march 2 I had pacemaker and leads r...

Hey everyone I posted about two days ago about the horrible chest pain I was having. It finally got so bad that they had to call an ambulance to come and get me from work. When I got to the hospital they were really great this time and it wasn't even heart related. That's good news becasue my inusrance will cover it then. I have Pleurisy and and as soon as they gave me a bunch of morphine I felt a lot better. The doctor gave me some prescription pain meds and told me to take it easy.

Well my Doctor finally believes me that my ICD is in my armpit and moves all over the place and has referred me to a plastic surgeon to have it repositioned under the muscle........My biggest question is why a plastic surgeon? I have not had my appointment with this Doctor yet and have many questions wondering if this is the right thing to do. I have had such bad luck with my ICD since day one and am not looking forward to another surgery!! :( *sigh*
