so last night my partner and I were watching some tv on my lap-top through netflix. And I had the box portion of my battery charger laying on my stomach near to my chest. After a little while I started feeling sick and faint and we quickly removed the charger because we thought that might be the problem. I started feeling better soon. I've had similar problems when using electric heating pads. I know everything says computers and heating pads are not supposed to interfere but is it still possibl...

Last Nov. my now ex Cardiologist hooked me up to his brand new BioZ machine. It sends a a small dc current thru your heart/lung region and measures impedence looking for signs of fluid build up from heart failure. I have an approc 70% ejection fraction, and he knew it, and I have absolutely no symptoms associated with heart failure. I think he was putting all of his patients on this new test just so he could bill for it. As soon as the current was turned on I went into severe Atrial flutter and...

Three weeks ago I took a quick ride in an ambulance to emergency and subsequently learned that I needed a pacemaker. What a frightening and confusing time it has been. I had been experiencing shortness of breath and dizzy spells for a month, then on a Saturday the dizziness wouldnt stop and included chest and shoulder pain and neck numbness, so my husband called the ambulance. I was diagnosed with 3rd degree heart block and a few days later I got my pacemaker.

Hi all you Pacer Chicks and Pacer Dudes. As you may have already read, I got positive results from my recent test.
I still have the same problem of not being able to climb any stairs. So I have been shopping, (solves most problems for me) he he. Anyway, with the encouragement of my hubby I have bought a step exerciser. The kind that sits flat on the floor and I step up and step down.
It came with a handy DVD just in case I couldn't figure it out. Cool I thought, so I popp...

Well, it's Valentine's Day again, and that means CHD Awareness Day! I know some here aren't in the mood to read that because of problems and I understand. We just finished up the Ancient Egypt sectoin in History, so I'm hoping this will put a few needed smiles on your faces:

and come out to you carrying a red fish,
which is just right in my fingers.

Hello Folks,
How you have had a MUGA? I had about 1/3 of one Thursday and would like to know if any of you have had anything like the experience I had.
I got the radioactive substance injection and went to the scanner. They got me all wired up with the 3 leads and she next thing I hear is "something is wrong, I'm getting a heart beat of less than 30 BPM and it must be above 30 to do the scan." Over the next 30 minutes, or so, they replaced the electrode pads, reposition...

I had a 2-lead Medtronic put in on Tuesday and I have some circulatory weirdness in my left arm. In certain positions (standing and sitting straight), The left hand and forearm turn red and I get numbness and tingling in my fingertips. There is only mild swelling in the hand (a feeling of "fullness" in my hand). They did two ultrasounds which found nothing. The surgeon hypothesized that the two leadwires were obstructing bloodflow. He discussed another procedure where they rewire the leads to th...

Still in shcck this all happened so quick... I've always been the type of person to research and research regarding health issues. Well now I have a really good reason, loooonngg heart pauses while sleeping.
I found one blog that mentioned he had a pm for heart pauses but lately found out pacemakers are damaging to people w/ otherwise "healthy hearts"...could there be any evidence of this? Is our lifespan shortened because of pm's?
Happy Friday the 13th, everyone!

Have a great day ya'll, and don't you worry about all that superstitious stuff. We need to save our energy and focus on Valentine's Day tomorrow.
Wishing ya'll a wonderful Valentine's Day. I hope it's not too shocking for those of you with a ICD, and I trust that there will be an awfully lot of pacing going on. At our next interrogation we'll all have a lot of explaining to do. LOL!
Have a wonder-filled day,
Angelie

I am scheduled for my 3rd ablation on feb. 26th. Actually i had just an EP study in the early 90's and then 2 actual ablations last year(feb. and july). I had dual pathways in my AV node that they found in the 90's but couldn't fix bc they couldn't do cryo. I had the ablation in feb 08 for afib and they also got rid of one of the av nodal pathways. The ablation in jul 08 was bc i went in to a-flutter so my EP went back in and did PVI. Now i am having almost constant bigeminy so he is going t...
