PM & 2 leads replaced on 2/12/09 Do Not Feel Right

I need some help. I just had my 3rd pacemaker put in and this time they also replaced the 2 leads on Thursday 2/12 and was discharged 2/13 around 1pm. I just do not feel right and not sure if i should be concerned or not. And in 2003 when i had it replaced I was 6 mths pregant so I really cannot compare the 2.

Sarcoidosis

After having my pacer di-fib implanted two years ago.. I still have spots in my lungs..new ones. They think it is this stuff, but cannot tell untill a biopisy is completed. They also thihnk it caused my heart issues in the first place. Anyone know anything about this stuff? It has affected my eyes and now my lungs..they think my heart. Incomplete MUGA

Hello Folks,

How you have had a MUGA? I had about 1/3 of one Thursday and would like to know if any of you have had anything like the experience I had.

I got the radioactive substance injection and went to the scanner. They got me all wired up with the 3 leads and she next thing I hear is "something is wrong, I'm getting a heart beat of less than 30 BPM and it must be above 30 to do the scan." Circulatory Weirdness in Left Arm

I had a 2-lead Medtronic put in on Tuesday and I have some circulatory weirdness in my left arm. In certain positions (standing and sitting straight), The left hand and forearm turn red and I get numbness and tingling in my fingertips. Searching the net-re: pm's

Still in shcck this all happened so quick... I've always been the type of person to research and research regarding health issues. Well now I have a really good reason, loooonngg heart pauses while sleeping.
I found one blog that mentioned he had a pm for heart pauses but lately found out pacemakers are damaging to people w/ otherwise "healthy hearts"...could there be any evidence of this? Is our lifespan shortened because of pm's?

ablation #3

I am scheduled for my 3rd ablation on feb. 26th. Actually i had just an EP study in the early 90's and then 2 actual ablations last year(feb. and july). I had dual pathways in my AV node that they found in the 90's but couldn't fix bc they couldn't do cryo. I had the ablation in feb 08 for afib and they also got rid of one of the av nodal pathways. Hello Pacer Chicks and Pacer Guys!
As many of you know, I have been having a lot of trouble with climbing stairs. I get out of breath and my legs feel like lead. Well, I had a visit to the cardiologist and he ran a bunch of test on me. It turns out that I was right all along. I have T.B. which stands for the dreaded "Tired Butt" So the outcome is excellent. Digital Wireless Phone Usage

I swiched to a Digital, Internet, Phone connection and call-in every month via a pacemaker "Tele/Trace" monitor. Medtronic sent me a small phone plug-in devise to make everything work. No cost, just call them.
What I want now is a monitor that will work with a cell phone so I can be free.

I'm finally home from the hospital

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your encouragement to go the the hospital on February 2nd. Turns out it was a good thing. The screw on one of the leads from my pacemaker poked a hole in my heart and I had blood in the sack around the heart. They called it pericardial infraction or something like that. I'm sure I misspelled it, but hopefully you'll know what I'm talking about. I was in the hospital for 12 days!!! I had three echocardiograms, about 6 IV pokes (4 times in one day because...

Finally somewhat of an answer to when amiodarone fails

Hi and I am sorry it has taken me this long to let those of you who asked about my husband know what is going on. Just to refresh everyone he is on amiodarone and it was failing to keep his arrythmia's in check. After my last post he became very sick, couldn't eat and couldn't get out of bed..I was expecting the worse. After many doctor's visits and even firing one of his doctors, it was discovered that amiodarone and some of his other meds were effecting his liver, his enzymes were over 300. So...

A judge who recently dismissed hundreds of Medtronic Sprint Fidelis defibrillator lead injury lawsuits apparently has a personal connection to the device maker. According to The Wall Street Journal, the son of Judge Richard H. Kyle of the federal district court in Minneapolis is employed by a law firm that has had Medtronic as a client for quite a while.

Airport security machines no problem

Hi everyone,
I thought I would pass this on to you. I have recently flown through airports in Indianapolis, Detroit, Washington DC and Ft Myers with no problems. I didn't tell TSA that I have a pacemaker and since they tell you to walk through the machine I did so each time without ever setting off a single machine.
