I need your inout. I am working on a product, along with an athletic trainer, that I made for my daughter who is now eight and has been pacing since she was three. It is a protective device/gear for when she plays sports. It is patent pending and we are in the marketing/devolpment phase. I have brought the product to both of her cardiologists(Columbia Pres. in NYC) and they both encouraged this product. I was wondering if you could give me feed back if you would use/need this typ...

In reply to your recent post about God.... I must tell you something. You crack me up! You come along and with a straight face (I'm sure) and tell people that you think that God is irrelevant. It takes a lot of guts to say something like that.
Considering you were a Math teacher and are probably a man (if I am mistaken may God please forgive me) your mind runs on a different track than the majority.
Here is my take .... You may voice...
I am so glad I found this site. I am 25 yrs. old. I don't know if anyone is familiar with POTS? Postural Orthostatics Tachycardia Syndrome?? Well, I have it. It was diagnosed about 4-5 years ago. Basically my heart beats to fast and they don't know why. I have been on Metoprolol, Toprol XL, Lisinopril, Cardizem, Bisoprolol, Propanalol, and now I am on Nadolol and midodrine. My question is I guess two things: Has anyone had a PM put in for tachycardia? Or, has someone had a PM for POTS? Any info...
Hello my name is Doreen and I had surgery for a valve replacement on Sept 11 th and then I had to have a pacemaker put in a week later after the surgery . Has anyone had this happen to them ?? After the surgery and the heart rate was very low they told my family that I may need a pacemaker if my rate does not go up . So after a week they implanted it , I wasn't very happy having to go back in the operating room again to say the least , but I have not felt good , I thought after the surgery I...

Give us a new year. Not just a new number, but a truly new year. Give us a year full of new things, new adventures, new attitudes, and visions. Lord, give us a new year full of new ideas and refresh some of our old ideas. Give u...
G'day! Can anyone please tell me whether it's still ok to ride a motorbike once the pacemaker settles in?
Good Morning everyone!
I would like to wish you all a very healthy and happy 2008!
May all our hearts beat with perfect rhythm and hum a happy tune.
May the ICD's enjoy a shockless year!
May all our hearts be filled with love and joy.
May you once again find wonder in the things that delight you.
May you find peace and rest when needed.
And.... May you enjoy new friendships as you grow as a Pacer family.
Dear Marisa, I was wondering where you have been....
Just so you know, I was have missed you. I hope you have had a beautiful Christmas!
Now... I have been guilty of putting my two cents in where is was not needed and to make things worse completely and totally off base. I have survived and so will you. All is well and I so hope I will see your beautiful laughter and happiness attitude back on a regular basic.
There isn't one of us perfect here. I really c...
I'm sorry to Uva. I hope my idiotic behavior does not change your view on this site based on how I acted towards you. This is a great site, full of great people (I'm obviously not one of them right now). I should have talked to you about it first. So I'm sorry, and mean it with all my hole-y heart and pacemaker.
P.S I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I had my pacemaker put in on 12/18/07 , i have had constant pain since then and the cardio nurse told me it was healing fine ??? i have noticed the last two days it seems like it is bulging out a lot! i can tell something is happining b/c my skin feels really tight. Has anyone had this happen?

Well seems I'm always fortunate to see, or meet someone who has it just as bad or worse then I, and I say,"there but for the grace of God go I." Happy New Year, thanks for hope and cheer placed here. J.T.
Hi everyone -
I just wish to say HAPPY NEW YEAR to all batterya and lead users lol.
It is not very good having to have a pacemaker but it is very nice to know that there are people out there whereever they are, near or far who totally rely on pm's.
KEEP UP THE GOOD SPIRIT
I am new to this site and am very glad i found it. I am a fellow pacing patient but i also happen to be a cardiac physiologist here is the UK. I actually perform the tests, help implant devices and work in follow-up clinics. My experience has been very much like the ones i have read here, except i have had a bit extra knowledge to freak me out! But i want to help here. If anyone wants to, please feel free to message me with anything you think i may be able to help with...
