Questions

I go for an interrogation of my pm in a couple of weeks and because I'm pretty much a "newbie" have some questions. since my pm in March occasionally I will feel tapping in my chest-I think it's the ventricular lead pacing as when I was in the ER and it was happening that was the pacing and when it went back to sinus and atrial lead pacing it went away. Has anyone had this experience? Also it seems that my pm has moved a little and in some positions the edges poke at the skin. I actually thought one of the inner sutures popped a few weeks ago because I got like a kick but it was in my back and then I noticed the pm seemed to have moved a little and the site was sore for a few weeks and it's gone now.My pm has been working fine and my hr is fine so haven't been too concerned but don't want to miss something. I have really depended on the people on this site and trust your opinions a lot. Thanks

The tapping in your chest

Hi, dottodot!

I was wondering...that tapping feeling...does it feel like a really strong heartbeat? If so, it is most likely the ventricular pacing you are feeling. Especially if you only feel it occasionally. I know that I felt mine a lot when I first got my pm because I was hyper-aware of this new thing in my chest. Now I only notice it from time to time. I would still mention this to your doc when you go because it could be something else or something that would go away with some tweaking of your pm settings.

As far as the pm moving, I haven't had any experience with that problem. I'm sure some other pacer will be along to help with that one!

Happy pacing~
