blood pressure

Hello Everyone. Hope the New Year is starting out well for you all!
I have a question about blood pressure. I have been on Sotalol for a while now. I am taking 80mg three times a day. Well the last five or six days I have felt awful. I have been getting lightheaded with really bad headaches. I was just thinking it was the arrythmia but I took my blood pressure a few times and it was 140/90 which usually mine is 100/60 and very consistent. Should I be concerned about the big jump?

I'm not a dr, but yeah, I'd be concerned, that's a big jump and it's a bad combination with headaches. Hopefully it's nothing, but imo, you need to be seen asap. Please check in and let us know how you are.

Hey I have been on this med for about a month, and it has been giving me head aches and light headed stuff for a bit, I have taken my blood pressure and went to the doc also and had them take it (cardio Doc), it comes out to be fine. But like last night I get so light headed and feel like crap. they seem not to be so worried. the 1st reading is high but not to bad. mine is around 117/89 which is right for me, but we are all different. I am now on 40 MG x 2 a day. I was feeling so bad on 80 twice a day. They also dropped my Coreg from 50 to 25 twice a day and that did nothing. So the 40 is working out ok, but the light headed and head ache has to go. Problem is they seem to think it is not the meds but I think it is due to the side effects it can cause. I was never feeling this way before I took it. I think I know my body and the effects I have read point to this med.
