Pain in left shoulder & dizzy

Hi Everyone,

It's been 1 year since I had my pacemaker put in. In the past day or two I have been noticing some lightheadedness and pain in my left shoulder and arm. Has anyone else had this? I'm wondering if maybe something happened to one of the leads or something. Thanks for reading:)

Just a guess...

but leads can fracture....can't they?

I've learned during the past 5 yrs of having a pacer and reading almost every post on here, that anything is possible.

When in doubt...check it out. Can you call on Monday and get your pacer interrogated?

Good luck,
Pookie

Pain

After a year I'd doubt it's a lead problem, but regardless, pain is a no-no in my book, call your doctor would be my suggestion. (I don't mean to minimize things, but you do know the "symptoms" of a heart attack?) Start a diary of how you feel every two hours or so-may prove handy or hopefully, may prove to be a complete waste of time.

Thanks you

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
