Tingling Sensation

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a tingling/stitch sensation around the heart area. I had my PM fitted 2 years ago and haven't had any problems at all till 3 days ago when I started to experience these. They aren't constant or servere, I'm not suffering any ill effects and my PM is still a constant 60 BPM.

I'm quiet active and run about 15 miles a week but I'm a bit wary of attempting this while I'm experiencing these sensations. I would go to my PM clinc but they're very busy & I would'nt want to use up an appointment if it's nothing to worry about as I'm not exactly suffering.

Could anyone give me some advice please.

My pacemaker does something kind of similar. It's a burning/tingling sensation right over my pacemaker site. I talked to my pacemaker nurse about it and she said that it wasn't all in my head, it's a side affect that many patients have, and that it doesn't mean anything is wrong, it's just some wierd thing they do. But just to clearify, my tingling is over my site, not my heart. Hope this helps!

Don't assume it's your pacemaker. I'd check with both the internist and cardiologist. It's probably nothing but better safe than sorry!

I am not planning on letting any of this shorten my life. I am planning on living a long happy battery operated life. You never know maybe it will keep me alive longer. I sure know one thing I would have been dead before starting school without it.
