checkups by other physicians

I may be having a pacemaker installed in a city where I have my summer residence, however I go to Florida for about 6 months. I have a physician there and have seen a cardiolgist
there also. Once this thing is installed can checkups and monitoring, adjustments etc. be done someplace else.

thanks

It's good to have a copy of your records at both places and when you have the pm checked I would ask for a copy of the settings to keep with you wherever you are. Ask them how often they want you checked, but I would try to have only one make adjustments so I'd pick one or the other and try to just get the check ups done when you are in Fl or wherever, not both. They may be able to set you up for phone monitoring so you can do it from anywhere.

Where in Fl?

double check ups!!

Should be good because you will get the benefit of advice from both sets of cadiologists!

I live for six months of the year in Florida.
My PM. was fitted here in Ireland.
After a severe electric shock last year (in Florida), I made contact with a local cardiologist. He arranged for a Medtronic Technician to check the PM.
He was able to assure me there was no problem.

Since that experience, I bring a copy of my latest interrogation printout with me on trips.
The facilities in SW. Florida are excellent for Medical Care.

I hope this information may be of some use.
