Finally feel like I am back

Went out for a real mt. bike ride today for the first time since implant and finally feel like I am back. Hit 105% of my theoretical max on a nasty, long climb and rode hard and even if it was only an hour ride it felt GOOD. First time breaking my theoretical max since surgery and now I feel like I can finally get myself back to the person I used to be. The damn little metal thing in my chest is not going to rule my life and I plan on getting back to the athlete I once was.

I went out on my mountain bike yesterday for the first time yesterday (roads only) but it felt good to get out there. How long since it was implanted?

Way to go!!!

Got another ride in yesterday but today when working out in the morning I felt it. Forgot how much of a beating your body can take from mt. biking especially on a trail that has a lot of bumps and radical terrain changes. But the pump still seems to be doing its job and also changing my morning routine as well to add some running for the first time since implantation. When I tried to do it earlier the implant area got sore and that was what made me back off but now, so far, so good.

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
