Dronedarone warning by FDA and Sanofi

Hi there!

I'll be more careful with posting studies, articles etc. but this seems to be really important:

FDA has published a warning today about severe liver injury associated with the use of Dronedarone. Sanofi Aventis has sent a letter to healthcare professionals informing them, and asking them to inform their patients.

To read the warning go to:

Best wishes
Inga

I started on amioderone shortly before I got my PM and continued on it for almost 2 years. It is a generic for dronedarone. About 6 months ago it started to affect my lungs and I was taken off it immediately. I am now on multaq for heart rhythm problems. It's safer, will not affect the lungs but is expensive. However, how many choices do we have? We have to do what we have to do... The PM sets the heart rate but if you've had atrial flutter like I did, or AFib, that's a whole different problem and must be handled with meds.
