St Jude's ICD

I WAS AT 2.55 FOR 9 MONTHS...NOW 2 MONTHS AT 2.52 BATTERY . I'M WONDERING APPROXIMATELY HOW LONG BEFORE THEY CHANGE IT AT 2.45. THE WAIT IS KILLING ME :)

My guess is 1 to 2 years. It all depends on how much it has to help to help your heart. Get a checkup every 3 months, or so, to get a better feel for how much time is left.

Your St. Jude pacemaker will not suddenly quit and leave you stranded. It will give a warning that replacement time is getting near starting at least 3 months before that time. Checkups are the best way to know that the time is getting closer.
