Too scared to sleep again

I was sitting here on the couch when I could feel an episode start to come on. It's really the first one I have felt since the pm. I felt my pulse and I couldn't count it but it was super slow. Then it slowly got faster. So I am guessing the pm kicked in.

But I got like a hot flash, my palms got all sweaty and my brow. Was that the panic part?

Husband working midnights tonight so I am alone with the baby all night again. That freaks me out too. Took a Xanax but not really helping.

Just scared.

how the pm works

When we say the pm is set at a minimum of 60 bpm (or whatever, that's just an example), it doesn't mean your pulse will actually stay 60 bpm, but one beat per second. So as SOON as your heart goes a second without beating, the pm will kick in instantly. You literally will never miss a beat. It is unlikely you will feel it when it kicks in. Your symptoms sound like panic to me, but I'm no doctor.

I'm going to private message you my phone number. If you're panicked being home alone, feel free to call. I'll be up for another hour or so (I'm a wimp, I pass out early!)

You may also be feeling those stupid PVC's that we all seem to get every now and then.

When I feel like that, I take a deep breath and get up and walk around. It seems to break the PVC pattern and also takes my mind off of the feeling I get.

Mine feel like a heartbeat pause, followed by a really hard beat. The pause is what's scary cause I sometimes would feel lightheaded. If I got a few of them in a row, it could make me panic. It would make me feel just awful. Tweaking my pacemaker settings helped alot. I haven't had any problem in over a year.

Hang in there. Maybe you need to be "tweaked".
From one Jersey Gal to another! No fear.

Best to you,
Gellia
P.S. It just kills me that I've had a pacemaker for as long as you've been alive....sigh....I must be getting old!

You know you're wired when...

Your signature looks like an EKG.
