feeling heartbeat in left ear

My father had pacemaker/defib implanted in summer of 2008. Everything has been fine up until a few weeks ago. He feels/hears his heart beating in his left ear. His diagnosis for having the implant put in was hypertrophic ventricular cardiomyopathy. Anyone ever heard of this occuring?

I sometimes hear my heart in my ear. I take no notice of it and I actually see it as a very good sign that my cardiac output is strong enough to cause it. I dont think you have the slightest thing to worry about, however someone might disagree with me in due course.Happy pacing Cheers Peter
