My understanding of what you are feeling is from a setting within the pacemaker called a" rate response".
I have had my pacemaker for 3 years and have had the "rate response " setting adjusted several times because I did not like the "jumpy " feeling . So I have no idea if our equiptment is the same but I do validate your observation and encourage you to report it to your Mom and your Cardiologist. When I first got my pacemaker I was unsure about whether my observations were valid and whether to report them or not but I have found that I am more comfortable giving any and all feedback to my Cardiologist.

You know you're wired when...

You can hear your heartbeat in your cell phone.

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
