Best Hospital

Can anyone tell me the best hospital in US where I can get the pacemaker surgery? My doctor in Delaware has messed up my pacemeaker replacement and it appears I have an infection.

Best Hospital

I previously worked and lived in Delaware. Personally, I wouldn't even try to mail a letter from there let alone anything of significance (legal, medical, educationally, etc). Delaware is very good at creating "specialty review boards" which is kind of a union protection agency-unless you know someone, you can't be a dentist, doctor, etc.

I don't know where you are in Delware-upper or slower. I can recommend a Dr. Richard Hui at Chester County Cardiology 610-696-2850 which is in West Chester, PA. He works at Chester County Hospital which is part of the world renown Cleveland Clinic. Otherwise, try for an EP at the University of Pennsylvania 215-662-6005.

I'd suggest Hui first unless you really need super special research type correction-much easier parking ;-)

I vote for the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio.

My mother was implanted at the Cleveland Clinic way back in 1991 when we lived in Ohio and if I could go anywhere for a PM implant, I would go there. My dad and I were able to talk to the cardiologist (before and after) and the nurses answered our questions with pleasant attitudes. I would rate their bedside manners and professionalism (honestly) A+.

I no longer live in Ohio but if you check for ratings for certain procedures like heart and compare the Cleveland Clinic to any other hospital, I think you would be pleased with how they fare. They are very well respected nationally and my limited dealings with the hospital and medical staff was wonderful. I vote for Cleveland!!!!!

If I had insurance and could go anywhere for a pacemaker implant, without any hesitation, I would bee-line to Cleveland.

I reccomend....

I reccomend Deborah Heart and Lung Center Dr. Corbisiero in Browns Mills, NJ and/or University of Pennsyslvania Dr. Josh Cooper.

You know you're wired when...

You have a maintenance schedule just like your car.
