Atrial flutter....re-run

I don't feel up to writing all of my friends individually so I'll just send a blanket update to all.
Despite my recent hospitilization and DC cardioversion, I woke up this morning in high rate flutter again.
My local cardiologist is at the beach, my primary physician is in South Carolina, and my EP from ATL is in Augusta, GA, at the Masters. Just my luck.....it's spring break in my neck of the woods.
Needless to say, I have no idea what's next. My EP's nurse is pretty much convinced that after checking with my EP that I'll soon be back in ATL for a repeat cardioversion, and installation of a more suitable pacer/ICD to better meet my needs. I've also started taking coumadin which at 33 years old, am not completely excited about.
I had an awesome day yesterday, am bracing myself to feel like crap for the duration until we figure out what's next, and just feel extremely grateful for yesterday ( I felt amazing.....and I guess it was the calm before the storm) .
One just never knows what the next day brings.
Live each day to it's fullest, folks. That's what I always try to do.

Ya'll take care, and I'll be on when I can.
Behave yourselves,
Angelie

thinking of you

by clemsongirl - 2009-04-09 01:04:11

I'm sorry to hear that you continue to have problems. I know from experience how hard this is, but I think you have me beat on the arrhythmia problems. Usually after an ablation I was "fixed" for a short time at least. Any more thoughts on a AV node ablation? I know you're not too far away from Emory. Let me know if you need a referral there. Like you, I think my EP doc is awesome and would recommend him any day!

Hang in there!

vacations

by Tracey_E - 2009-04-09 11:04:08

they really need to run their vacation times by you first so you can tell them who is allowed to go when! That really sucks. I'm so sorry you're still not feeling better. You know you remain in my thoughts and prayers. Give me a holler if you wanna chat. {{{hugs}}}}

Support

Not sure what all that means, but it doesn't sound good. I wanted to offer you good thoughts. You gave me support when I had questions about scarring. I will keep you in my prayers. Keep positive.
