Possible arrythmia

Hi

I have had similar issues sometimes after working out. Make sure that you are well hydrated after running, and have replaced your electrolytes. Athletes can run into issues with depleted minerals and sodium after working out, especially long distance runners. Dehydration can cause you to feel lightheaded. You could also be getting a lot of Premature ventricular beats after the run which could be causing the dizziness. You may need a programming adjustment. Speak to your doctor. Maybe you could do a stress test to see how your heart rate drops after exercise.

Guys,

Many thanks for your replies, I have spoken to PM clinic who agree that it could be a hydration issue.
They also suggested that I stay clear of running suppliments that contain high levels of caffiene & stick to things like raisins nuts & bannanas etc for energy.

1/2 marathon experience

Westies:

You are the first person I contacted that has run a 1/2 Marathon with a pacemaker. I would like to know more about that experience. I wrote a comment about my running history and health with some questions regarding distance running. Would you look at my questions and respond? I sincerely appreciate any input you can provide.

Best regards,

My ICD/pacer is not a burden. I still play tennis and golf.
