Strange sensations after implant

Hi, My first posting.........
Just fitted with ICD in early Feb. Has anyone had similar sensations? (1) Cannot comfortably sleep on Left Side (ICD also LHS) (2) Have a feeling occasionally that something is 'tugging' internally, making me feel I want to cough (3) Find that any stimulants, (coffee, alcohol esp) make me jittery to an increased level. Sounds like I'm cracking up so just tell me if it sounds stupid!

Sensation, but not like pulling

by turboz24 - 2011-04-15 02:04:38

When I use my chest a lot (say when working out, etc), I get an odd sensation as the ICD slides accross my chest muscle, not a tingling, more like when you tightly wring cloth. It's probably the scar tissue pulling/tearing. Last ECHO I had, the tech had a hard time with the scar tissue, I guess the scaring from my ICD pocket extends over most of my left chest.

As for sleeping... I really don't have a problem with sleeping on my ICD, but anything hard pushing against is is an automatic whelp from me.....

So, I always tell everyone at work, if for some reason I go "postal", just slap me on my left chest, I'll be in the fetal position, sucking my thumb, and crying for a couple of hours.

Thank you for your understanding comments to my first posting; feel better already! Sorry about the LHS abreviation; Left Hand Side as you correctly guessed!

You know you're wired when...

You have a shocking personality.
