Hand held ticket scanner

Hello all. I work as a volunteer usher at a performing arts center. One of my duties is to scan patron's tickets using a hand-held ticket scanner. Does anyone know if the scanner will interfere with my pacemaker? I have a Boston Scientific Pacemaker.

It shouldn't affect it at all. New pm's are well shielded and only a magnet will affect it. In the unlikely event you feel funny near it, just be sure to keep it 6" from your device. In almost 20 yrs of being paced, I've never found anything that interferes with mine.
