Fear of the Unknown - Reassurance

I just wanted to let folks know who may be facing surgery for the first time that it wasn't as bad as I had feared. I'm on Day 13 of my recovery, and I return to work tomorrow morning, bright and early:). So far, so good. I posted two pictures, one the morning immediately following implant, and one from today. The purpose of the pics and this quick post is only to reassure those who may be facing the same thing I was facing two Sunday nights ago. I was terrified, and there's really nothing on the internet to reassure you. Hope all of you fellow PM recipients are doing well! Off to bed for me so I can be bright eyed and bushy tailed tomorrow....I hope (SMILE)

Glad it all worked out so well. They are great little devices.

First Day Back

by bchgirl - 2011-05-16 10:05:44

Well, first day back at work went well! Had a lot of energy most of the day! Got a bit tired late afternoon, but nothing I couldn't handle. Amazingly, folks I don't talk with every day came up to me and told me how "great I looked," "how much color I had," "how bright my eyes looked," and a host of other comments. I guess I didn't realize how worn my face and body had become from such a low heart rate! I look forward to even greater things to come! Wishing everyone a great night!
