Recently had a defibrillator (CRT-D) fitted in Feb 11. Recovery good;but recently experiencing out of breath, low appetite, and experiencing discomfort in stomach. Sugar level has risen, so metaformin 500mg x1.Heart rate 116/65 pulse 70; no indication of fluid build up visible in legs. Furosemide 40mg x1:bisoprolo 1.25mg.Is out of breath due to sugar level/diabetes?
Due to have CRT-D checked in the 2 weeks time; any suggestions?

Don't wait for the two week checkup period.... Call for an appt. immediately with your cardio and if they suggest going to your other doc for the diabetes, then get there asap also!

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
GET THIS CHECKED ASAP

Not to alarm you, but if you are getting out of breath, and your appetite is low, and your legs are swollen, you may be retaining fluid, a sign of heart failure. Please go to your cardiologist to be check out thoroughly. Diabetes may or may not be contributing factor to the fluid. I do know that many diabetics have fluid in their legs. But please do get checked ASAP..... Let us know the results, please?
Best wishes for a good outcome..
