He had lead extraction yesterday. They successfully extracted four of his leads. They were able to implant the pacemaker/defribillator lead, but because of his kidney disease and his allergy to dye, they couldn't implant the lead that sync his two chambers because they couldn't find the Coronary Sinus.
They kept him under for too long and his blood pressure dropped too low. Apparently it was dropping throughout the surgery. When they tried to extubate him, he had trouble breathing so they had to reintubate him. He is stable with meds and an intubator right now.
We need him to urinate to make sure his kidneys are still functioning, we need his blood pressure to normalize without the meds and we need him to be able to come off the breathing machine.
so please please pray for him. You don't know him but he is such an amazing person. He is very sick right now but he is a fighter and he needs to get stable so he can have a second surgery to impact the LV lead epicardiallly.
so I know you don't know me or him, but please just pray.

he is not. I joined a month or two ago when we found out he was having the lead extraction bc I was nervous and was trying not to project my anxiety onto him.

his blood pressure stabilized. They have been titrating him off some of the blood pressure meds they were giving him. His creatine (related to his kidney disease) is up, but is slowly coming down. Hopefully, any damage will be minimal. Oh, and he is no longer intubated.
He is in a lot of pain and frustrated that he has to be in the ICU for so long. He is also frustrated that there is going to be a second surgery. We still haven't told him what happened because we want to keep him as motivated as possible for the second surgery and he is very unmotivated at the moment. If he could, I think he'd just about walk out of here.
they will be doing a thoracotomy and placing they LV lead Epicardially.

He has been intubated again. His lungs started filling up with fluid last night and he couldn't breathe.
Please keep praying that he stays stable; he is able to have the surgery Monday and that the surgery and his recovery go well.
