I am almost 5 weeks post op. The incision site gets itchy. Do you know if its ok to put lotion on it.

l found that a product called bio-oil helped a lot. Available from chemists in the u.k
it is also supposed to help ageing skin.. lol

As long as it's closed up tight- and at 5 weeks it definitely should be- you can and should be putting something on it daily. It will help it feel better but also make it fade faster. Just use something natural, without dyes or chemicals. I have vitamin e ointment or sometimes use plain aloe (100%, not the green stuff).
