HR monitor

Just started using a whaoofitness.com tickr-fit-optical-heart-rate-monitor for cycling. The old chest strap version never worked correctly due to electrical interference from the pacemaker. I'm now 74 and I've been cycling year round for nearly 30 years - used to compete. The tickr-fit has much capability - options for indoor trainer, outdoor cycling, running, treadmill, etc. Provides several graphs of a workout. Options for smartphone announcements of how you are doing during a workout.

I always enjoy reading posts by all you guys who were fitness nuts and wound up rowing the same sinking boat as me. Makes me thankful I didn't waste my life exercising.

I had a pacemaker when I was 11. I never once thought I wasn't a 'normal kid' nor was I ever treated differently because of it. I could do everything all my friends were doing; I just happened to have a battery attached to my heart to help it work.
