Danshen - a ancient Chinese medicine

Hi everyone. English is not my native language.
My father have a PM in his body (VP100%). He suffered from Bradycardia, or maybe Heart Failure. He even had vavle stenosis. Recently, after testing his blood, LDL, Tri-glyceride, Cholesterol - they are a bit higher than normal data. He wants to decrease level of them in his blood. So he drinks some liquid from danshen like a cup of tea. In this situation, Is danshen good for his muscle heart and valve heart ? At present, my father does not drink other medicine or suffer other disease. 
I have read that danshen with beta-blocked will be dangerous with bradycardia.    
My father need to avoid other implatation technicques, because I'm afraid that his body cannot suffer pain.
