For the females

I got the Pacer October 7 for second degree heart block. My question is ever since, every time my monthly cycle comes now I have weird PMS. I will get rib pains, increased anxiety, and just notice any little aches. My doctor says it's my body still adjusting to the foreign object. Thoughts?

Break

I haven't done that yet. After so many trips to ER and my doctor I decided to finally give myself a break from the doctors. I pretty much have narrowed it down to only happening a week before and first 3-4 days after. I'm 34 years old. My doctor doesn't believe it's premenopausal yet lol. But I am taking it day by day. Just weird how much has changed since I got the Pacer

PM and periods

There is no medical reason for a pacemaker to alter your mentrual cycle. However, having a PM does make you more aware of your body function, worse post operatively, and tending to lessen with time. Any increased anxiety/awareness is going to add to the burden of prementrual tension, hence the association  with your cycle.
