ER Visit

Hi friends hope all is going well for all of you. I had a ER visit that went horrible after having a lot of chest pressure for a week a couple people finally talked me into going and getting it checked out.
I found out nothing in the hospital and they did nothing for me besides the nurses telling me get in as soon as I could in the morning.
I got my pm settings all changed around and went to my regular Dr where they were able to tell me more. I have a built up inflamation around my pacemaker causing my nerve to be pressed on and why I lack the feeling in my left hand at times. They are calling in Costochonditis. Don't know if anybody has had this but I am curious to hear your stories if so.
The other thing I learned is that my ejection fraction is at 25% which explains why i'm so exhausted all the time. I am still learning about the ejection fraction stuff.
It seems each time I go in I find out more that is going on with my heart. Please say a prayer that the medication they gave me for the discomfort will do the trick.

Take care and enjoy your weekend!
Tammy

Costochondritis is an inflammation of a rib or the cartilage connecting a rib. It is a common cause of chest pain.

I was wondering Tammy how they were able to diagnose this condition. Did you have xrays or a blood test? In any case, I do hope the medication gives you relief and wipes out this infection.

I agree that each visit I make for my PM check up, which is every 6 months, I learn a bit more and more. Of course that is also due to the info I pick up from all the comments here from Electric Frank, Tracy and all the others here with so much information. If it wasn't for this site and what I have now researched on the internet, I would just be the lady who had this thing put inside her and sent home. They sure don't tell you much!

I feel so blessed to have this little gem implanted in me. When I think of the alternative it is quite overwhelming sometimes.
