Can it break?

Can a pacemaker break in your chest? My boston terrier weighs about 40lbs jumped up on my chest this morning and I heard a pop and I'm afraid he damaged it, now the area just feels weird. It feels like its moved. Am I nuts, just worrying about it or should I be concerned  and call the doc?

....Call yOour Doc.  BUT:  The PMcase is made out of Titanium, the strongest, lightest metal known.  For itys weighht, stronger than tyhe strongest steel.  It will not corrode even if immersed in salt weater for years.  It survives with high strength  at temperratures that make it glow.  IUt is the stuff that deep sea submersibles are made ot; that high altotide supersonic spy planes are made of.  I don't think a 40 lb bulldog wil hurtt it very much at all.  But - there are a pair of electrical connections made to it,  Those might be affected.  .  Also,. a rether thin section of sskin & fatty tissue got squeezed betweremn doggy foot & very hard metal - goodf chabce of bruisiing.  The proofg will be in how your heart feels.  If it feels like it is still working OK, that's what counts.  No matter what, call your Doc & ask to be checked up,  IT's a fair question after such an event..

Went to the doc and they gave me the once over a s said I was ok! Just going to have some pain and bruising. They checked my leads and everything is ok. Said anytime I take a direct hit, the device will be ok it's the leads they have to make sure is ol. So I was good. Just still acclamating  myself to my new accessory!
