I am 6 months in with an PM/Defib. I was off of work for a little over a month and have been back to work for 5 months. I must say since my own initial experience I have improved. I know the feelings you speak of. It feels to me like almost 'jittery', and I feel like I have a knot around my diaphram and I get short of breath. My HR is fine, my BP is fine.

I had a 'bad' day today. I fought with it a lot. I am to the point now that I only feel this once or twice a week. I am not 100% sure, but I think it is anxiety. I had a stressful day at work today and that triggered it. Anxiety will mess with your mind and make you feel all types of wierd feelings. The more you think about it the more your BP could go up. Try not to worry about it and take some relaxation sessions. Breathing techniques, etc. It may not be a good day today, but hopefully tomorrow will be better. Good luck.

PM Adjustments

A couple of months after implant, it is common to need the voltage lowered on our devices.  The voltage usually starts off higher than we need.... until our hearts get used to being paced and then the doctors can program it better for our individual needs.  We are all different.

I know what you mean by a stuck burp.  I felt like I couldn't take a deep breath....until they lowered the voltage.

It may be the first time we've felt a normal heart rhythm in a long time, so of course it seems too fast and too strong.
