Medicare & PM replacement

I have researched with Medicare.gov, Google,Medicare 800# & my EP's office (thanks Donr for advice) & every one of them says that there are no new guidlines about PM replacement. The previous poster was told by a "nurse?" that her Dad had to wait until End of Life to get a replacement due to new Medicare rules. I am 100% dependent & waiting the Elective Replacement indicator to pop up. My EP's office's Medicare expert says that when that happens I will get "changed out" i.e., a new PM. Hope this relieves those of us who are in this posiition as it did me.

Thanks,

Janet

We all appreciate your effort in looking into this and posting the real situation. There are some things about Medicare that could be better, but we don't need to spread false rumors about it.

Rumors

The worst part is that such a wild rumor is believable! Tells you something about the state of Medicare!

No one said "That cannot be possible!" They all said "You have to check that out" & told Janet what to do.

I had also asked that question and received the same answer. That's part of why they changed the terminology to this or at least that's what I was told.

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
