recalled items

hello i was wondering why there ain't any listings or sites on here to go check out the recalled parts of a pm or def
there is just the listing on the side for the recall just takes you to a lawyer site it dont really say nothing
I think the poeple here in charge would know where to go for information
since the pumps are on recall now
since the wires are broken on 4 different models
and i don't know what else is on recall Becuase the news don't say to much
the reason i'm asking is becuase i have one on recall i have the broken wire but I don't know where to go to check out on updates
can any one help us out I know more people have these issues not just me

There is a lot of info available out there on recalled PMs and leads. The FDA site was the first placed I went to when I learned my Guidant PM was on a recall list; the information is chronological and takes you to the earlier warning letters, etc. At least it did last time I checked which has been a while. I then went to the Guidant website, which I read with doubt in my mind that the facts would be accurate! If you have a Medtronic PM/ICD check out their website. The FDA site is not biased, but I found it to be direct in info provided. Upon learning I had been implanted with a Guidant PM that had already been on a warning and recall list I would not believe anything posted by Guidant/Boston Scientific. But, some of the best info I received was from my friends right here in this PM Club. Good luck with your research and feel free to ask all your questions here. Recall Information

When I have a question about a recall I go to Google and input the name of the manufacturer and the device - pacemaker, defibrillator, lead, etc. But before I start I'm careful to get myself comfortable because I'll get info on plenty of sites to visit for more information. These will include lawyers but not exclusively lawyer websites.
