Looks like i've got to go through it again

Hi all.
Thanks to those who replied to my last, rather confused, mailing. Not seen cardiologist as yet but dr's recieved letter outlining plan to implant a dual lead pm asap. I am a little aprehensive about this as initial pm implantation( 2 years ago) was so distressing. Hey ho..... is'nt it great? Never mind i am grateful it can be sorted. Something always happens to shake things up a little. My husband lost his job shortly before christmas..Things have been hard ...he is working again at the moment. A lovely friend of mine was being really supportive and in trying to cheer me up said with a sigh.....at least youv'e got your health! We were in hysterics for ages...laugh! Bless her she is lovely....and i will be on the right track soon.

Hang in there

Hey, hang in there; through suffering we can really grow and learn. I too have been going through alot. I am down to 107 lbs at 5' 10'' and stomach burns constantly. I have passed out 4 times in the last two weeks and taken to E.R. I am getting my first PM tomorrow morning and I am very scared. On top of all that my wife left me because she said she can not deal with all of my health problems because she did not "sign up for this". The cardiologist will not let me drive because of all my fainting which no choice anyway since my car broke down when I was moving my stuff out of our apt. I am now sleeping on my sisters floor in her one bedroom apt. On top of that my phone has been turned off. I say all of this not to complain but to stress the importance of the big picture. Though I am suffering a lot right now. I know that great things will come from it and I am learning a lot and cultivating patience and empathy in addition to strengthening my character. We may not be able to understand why things are happening but we can believe they are all for the best in the long run. I wish you the best and I will keep you in my prayers. God Bless and you will be great! :)

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
