Hi all

Well I officially dont have a job now, the place I work fired me tuesday for absentisim, exhausted all my fmla, and they used the missing five days and no job. Nice family orentated business, have high risk bypass, pm/defib installed. Oh well Ill collect my disability and try and get better. Still haveing shortness of breath just walking, doc is adjusting my meds now. I guess now Ill enjoy just being alive, take my meds, do my walks, maybe go fishing once in awhile, might try golfing but Im still alittle scared about swinging golf clubs, wont be walking thats for sure not the way i play, I get enough excersise for a month chasing my ball on the course. Hope all is well with everyone else. Hated to see cabg patch isnt going to be around.
well happy halloween all

I'm sorry to hear about your job.
Just try to stay positive and remember that sometimes doors have to close for newer and better ones to open.
Best Wishes!

Dave, I am so very sorry to hear that! I know you were afraid that would happen and it's not right to treat people that way. I hope it turns out to be a blessing in disguise. Please use the time to take care of yourself and relax, consider healing to be your full time job now. Fishing sounds wonderful and I think you'd be fine swinging a golf club now. Enjoy your retirement!

Sorry to hear about your job. Maybe something else will come around when you get to feeling better. In the mean time focus on getting well, and take advantage of the time off.
I know that the week I was recovering from my pacer implant was like a vacation to me. I have 3 jobs, I volunteer, and have tons of things to do around the house. I was almost sad to get back to doing "normal" things. Now I'm back to the grindstone as my usually stressed out self, but my hey.....my ticker's tickin'. LOL

I so want to be an old-fashioned housewife. Seriously, it's not even funny. I would LOVE to have kids, and be home with them, tend to the house chores, cook, clean, and be Susie-Wan homemaker. I want to be Mrs. Cleaver, or Mrs. Brady (without the 6 kids)

Golf

I love golf, but it causes minor chest discomfort around George (my pm) for me, so take it easy. I hope all goes well with your job hunting!! Wish you the best in your endeavors!

Went golfing

by walkerd - 2008-11-04 08:11:29

went golfing with my son in law and had a faboulous time, swung my clubs very gentley and played better. guess the advise i gave myself and my soninlaw was right dont kill the ball, it works, to bad it took this to learn that, pm site and chest where fine no discomfort it was great riding a cart around, it was kinda of cold but still had fun. hadnt golfed for over three months. it sucked that i got tired from the little walking i did tho but had a ball. oh yes son in law beat me first time ever, cant hit my irons and putter, but never could. haha

It may be the first time we've felt a normal heart rhythm in a long time, so of course it seems too fast and too strong.
