swollen forearm

hi all, I had to go to the hospital today because my nurse called my cardiologist and told him I've had some "zinging" sensations and my arm is somewhat discolored and swollen and hurts in a few places if you press on it. I don't have a bloodclot, but I need to find out what this is. Has anyone else ever had this?
Thank you.

Has anyone mentioned thoracic outlet syndrome to you?
The nerves and blood vessel (brachial) to the arm can get trapped by the first rib that travels next to the collarbone.
Our wires go though there.
I do hope you find relief soon.
Best to you,
Gellia

swollen arm revisited

I went to my regular doctor today after having to go to the hospital on Friday to be checked for a blood clot. He said the same thing he said before: that the lymphatic sytem could have gotten backed up or something from the surgery and it will take 2-3 months for the arm to be ok again. My arm is swollen and and from the pacemaker down it has off and on feelings of pain and achiness and sometimes like an electrical feeling. I have pitting edema from the elbow down to my wrist. And my hand is swollen, too. Does ANYONE have any ideas, PLEASE?? Just to remind you, I had some complications. I don't know what this means but during the surgery I heard the doctor say I had an "anatomical anomaly". Then he accidentally punctured my lung, causing it to collapse, leading to a chest tube. Something is not right with my arm, though. There are many veins in that arm that are really dark and/or protruding. There are MANY broken capillaries.
Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you so much.

You know you're wired when...

You have a new body part.

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.
