anyone with a auto immune and heart block?

i was wondering if anyone with av heart block has any lung diseases or abnormal ct's? My husband is getting a second opinion, got his pacemaker 6 months ago with 2 degree heartblock now in 3rd degree heart block, during his hospital stay they found abnormal nodules and lymph nodes in his chest and lungs we went to pulmonary doc repeated the ct 3 months no change repeated it again no change possible smaller went to the 2 opinion doc he's sending us again to one of his pulmonary doc's. He didnt say but i was getting the feeling he really seems to think there is a connection that may need a biop? he mentioned sarcodosis? thats the 2 time that doc's have mentioned that. They did a blood test that didnt show anything but i was wondering if anyone has sarcodosis or wegeners? or anything thats a auto immune disease that caused there heart block?

Hi Jeepers,
I had a time where I was under such stress in my life that I developed Graves disease which is different than what your husband has, but an immune disorder just the same. I ended up with heart block as well as some other things. I have a dual Pacemaker (PM) and i am doing fine.
I understand how much you love your husband and applaud your efforts to help take care of him.
My PM has pretty much solved most of the heart issues. My hubby sleeps good at night now because he knows the PM is keeping me going. So maybe in sharing this you can rest a little better. Good luck.
Welcome to the PClub,
Hang in there and ask as many questions as you need. Remember one thing, you are not alone.

I have sarcoidosis

It caused me to have 3rd degree heart block. It was diagnosed via chest xrays, CT scans, and lung biopsy. You can't always rely on bloodwork to diagnose sarcoidosis. It's more a matter of ruling out what it isn't before you can figure out what it is. There are a couple of us on this site that I know of that have sarcoidosis. You can go to this message board http://www.inspire.com/groups/stop-sarcoidosis/ if you want to meet others with sarcoid.

Best wishes to you and your hubby!
