Pain In Breast Area

I know a woman who is 80 years old that got her pacemaker just about one month ago. Now she is experiencing severe pain in the left breast, Has anyone ever experienced this after getting a pacemaker, and if so, what was the cause?

How severe?

It's difficult to get a read on someone else's pain and the severity of it. However, if someone has severe pain ANYWHERE it should be checked out by a doctor. Especially if that person has had recent surgery in the area of the pain.

Severe pain should always be checked out by the doctor. It could be that they hit a nerve when inserting it, it could be tissue healing, it could be infection.
