Freak Out

please help i've had this 13 days, trying to be very CAREFUL not to lift my left arm, everything else, ok, back to walking dogs, treadmill, and am so thankful not to be "dizzy" anymore (bradycardia) BUT I CAN'T STAND HAVING IT UNDER MY COLLARBONE!!! JUST THE THOUGHT MAKES ME SICK!!
the bandaide came off last night, healing well, but it's sooo big!

swelling

It's been less than two weeks, you should still have some swelling to go down, and anything new is going to feel big and awkward for a while. How it looks long term, well, it depends on your build and your surgeon. Sometimes they settle in, unfortunately some of them poke out more than others. If it really bothers you after you've had time to completely heal and adjust- and I wouldn't even think about it for 6 mos to a year- you can consider having it repositioned.

Try to concentrate on how great it feels not to be dizzy any more rather than how it looks. I know, easier said than done! But it really does get easier with time.

It gets better

Hi, I'm about a month ahead of you and looking at your details a very similar type of person.

I try only to touch mine when i'm moisturising it, i'm quite teeny around the collarbone, but im getting used to it now.

I went through the 'omg whats this THING inside me', but its just another part of me now. Hope you soon feel the same.

You know you're wired when...

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
