Link between heart rate and stomach problems

Hey Guys and Gals! I have asked you questions several times and you have always come through with some great answers and advice! Well, I have got something for you to think about. I was diagnosed first with Celiac Disease. Celiac disease is a glutten sensitivity. All my life I had been sick and couldn't figure out why. After being diagnosed and altered my diet is when I began to have heart problems. it was within a year from the celiac diagnosis that I had my defibulator implanted. I have recently spoken to a few people in my hometown who have similar issues with the hearts rate weather it be too fast or slow. Some of these people also have celliac disease. I have asked both my gastro. doc as well as my ep doc to see if there was a correlation between the two and they both adminitly denied a link. I think there has to be some link because it seems as my blood sugar goes low is when I can fell my heart pacing. And it is also odd there there are other people in my hometown that have almost the same medical problems as myself. My question to all of you is: Do you think there is a link between the heart rate and stomach problems or vice versa? Thanks again for all your input and support. It is so wonderful to know that when I have days where I feel like no one understand my pain/struggles I can come here and talk to all of you wonderful people!

I think the heart is secondary to Celiac and that it's a coincidence that the Celiac was diagnosed first. Undiagnosed Celiac is very hard on your organs.

Is it possible that quite a few of the people in the town are distantly related? I'm asking because one of my friend's entire family is Celiac- her, her husband, and all of their kids. It's clear why the kids all have it because it's genetic and they got it from both parents, but it was odd that both of them are. They are from the same small town and figured out that their families are related, 5 or 6 generations back.

One may exacerbate the other

Something to consider -
Everything in your body is "related" in some way or another. I've experienced times where a person has a health issue, then another pops up "out of the blue".
Asked my doctor about this and he explained simply that some medical conditions can cause additional stress on other parts of the body, particularly cardio and respiratory.

So while the specialists may deny a link (and they of course may very well be correct) I would just consider that there are many "things" they have found are related that just a few years ago they thought were not related at all.

Remember a time when they said smoking was healthy because it reduced stress?

I just want to share about the quality of life after my pacemaker, and hopefully increase awareness that lifestyles do not have to be drastically modified just because we are pacemaker recipients.
