Using a mobile with a pacemaker

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, apologies if it's not.

I read in the booklet my cardiologist gave me that you should use a mobile on the opposite side to the PM. Is it actually likely to interfere with it if I don't? I have hearing problems in my right ear, and obviously the PM would be on my left side. Thanks for any help.

In the upper right hand corner, do a search on the topic and read until you're bored.
I started on the right, but then forget and went back to the left [natural ear for me]. Both cell and wireless phones, never a problem.

should be fine

I use my phone on either side and have never had a problem. Very few home electronics will interfere. If something makes you feel weird, just be sure to keep it 6 inches from your device, so with a phone you should be ok as long as you don't hold the phone with your shoulder.

Mobile Phone

Reason for precaution is having mobile close to pacemaker. RF transmitter output varies with signal level depending on location & reception. Why not use external Earpiece & Mic for mobil use? This will probably give you also hands free operation and also keep unit away from PM. Hands free is also tahe SAFE way to drive. Don

Thanks, and sorry

Thanks for the replies - sorry, it completely slipped my mind to do a search, I'll remember next time!
