What in the world...

Alright, it is a very cold, however beautiful day, here in Kansas.

My hubby asked me if I would like to go for a ride in his Jeep. The snow is beautiful and the sun was shinning. I am a bit wary when it comes to his jeep. It is BIG and black and full of his stuff. He is a train engineer and an avid hunter. I never know what I will find in his Jeep. After hiking through the snow drifts I reached the door to the jeep, I was bundled up in my cold weather gear with a fur trimmed hat. I cautiously reached for the door and pulled it open. Now I am only 5'3" tall so my legs are a bit on the short side, so getting myself into the jeep can be a climb even on a good day. Add the bulk of the parka, hat and gloves and it is all I can do to hoist myself into the seat. I pulled the door closed and I was trying to see with the hat and then I saw it! in the overhead "rack" there was a long brown striped shaped thing hanging down and I began to scream!!! OH MY GOODNESS!! I was shrieking and my arms were waving... My hubby was trying to figure out what I was screaming about when he saw what I was looking at.... It turns out it was not a snake as I thought, but some brown/golden striped pheasant feathers. lol. My heart took a few minutes to resume normal function, but we are fine now... my pacer and me.

The thing is, I know that I might find any number or odd things in his jeep.... I know this! My question to myself is... Why didn't I listen to my inner voice.. the one that was saying look out... you just might get the fright of your life. lol

Having moved around a lot and lived outside the U.S. for a number of years to a soldier, I have a warm appreciation for Kansas and I love pheasant. I just don't think their feathers should be dangling in the overhead scaring the wits out of me!

My hubby just smiles and says that it is all just part of the experience living with me.

yes... I don't like snakes or feathers that look like snakes!

LOL - but on the serious side - I am learning so much lately about the "inner me". Embrace the inner you - and I suspect as time goes by we will both learn to listen to it .. I can't wait :-))))

You know you're wired when...

You name your daughter “Synchronicity”.
