Central Jersey here, too. Manasquan River area.
I started off at Beth Israel in Newark and went there for years. Now I go to St. Barnabas, too. They are WONDERFUL there. Very super hospital and the cardiac area is really nice. I was very comfortable there.
Best to you and let us know how you do.

Gellia,
Thanks for the feedback on St Barnabas hospital. I am a little nervous about this. Your news definately helps. The only other procedure I have had was a cardiac cath at St Peters in New Brunswick (I'm in Piscataway).

Hi,
I am in central NJ. I'm going to St Barnabas on Thursday (11/12/09) to get my first pacemaker (Medtronics CRT-D).

I'm in Lake Hopatcong and while I haven't posted in ages I do read most of the posts. I would be interested in getting together. I received my PM last December at Morristown Memorial.

Would anyone be interested in getting together to share stories/get some piece of mind?
I'm in Bergen County-north Jersey but am willing to travel...a reasonable distance if anyone is interested.
Thanks,
Wendy

Hi, I'm also in NJ, near Princeton. If people from the area get together, please let me know. I'm a 39 year old female and just had a Medtronic DC implanted almost 6 weeks ago. Was in 2nd degree heart block. I still don't feel great and would like to compare some similar stories.

Hi,
I live in Staten Island, New York and have an ICD put in three weeks ago. I would love to meet anyone from the New York or New Jersey area. Please keep in touch.
Thanks,

Hello all,
I'm in Cranford (grew up in Ocean Grove) and researching the best place to get my second pacemaker. Any thoughts?
Thank you!!

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
