Hello to everyone,
My name is Sue R. and I have had my pacemaker for about 5 years or so now. I had a very slow heartbeat and when I was sleeping my heartbeat would slow down even more, (as you all know anyways) but so slow I would stop breathing.(I also have sleep apnea so have machine for that at night) I was always tired and didn't want to do anything. Everything just made me tired. I am happy with my pacemaker because it won't let it go below 60 and I have more energy to keep up with my grandchildren and do what I have always loved to do. Thankyou for letting me join your wonderful group.

Hi -- From one Sue to another.
I'm glad you found us...you will like it here. And I know what you are saying about having more energy for our grandchildren with a pacemaker. I also had bradycardia (slow HR) and while in the ICU two years ago my HR dipped into the twenties while sleeping. Three days later they implanted the pacemaker. I, too, am doing well with it.

Anyway, again, welcome.

You make store alarms beep.

A pacemaker suddenly quitting is no more likely to happen than you are to be struck by lightening.
