CathrynB and Dominique aka Stepford_Wife, to meet !!!!

Hello all.

When Peter Nash found out that CathrynB and her family were going to spend a few days in Colorado, he contacted me, thinking it would be a good opportunity for 2 pacers to meet each other.
I thought it was a great idea, and very thoughtful of him.
I got in touch with CathrynB, and she with me, and we took it from there.
We have made plans to meet in a restaurant in Westminster, Colorado, Monday, February 18, after she and her husband drop off their daughter back to her University, in Boulder.
We plan to overstay our welcome, by talking about everything.
I am looking forward to meeting CathrynB, her vast knowledge will be most welcome, for my many questions.
We will take pictures, and post them in the gallery. I'll let her do the honor, I can't seem to be very successful at this task.

I know you will enjoy meeting each other. I've been in a Christian Mommies of Twins Group for about 8 years and have actually met 3 mommies of the group. 1 in Texas, 1 in Nevada and 1 in Tennessee. It was so much fun. I'm sure it will be for you, also, and you'll have the PM Info. to share. I look forward to your posting the pics.

If only in spirit I will join you two! I wish you both a safe and fun journey..... It is going to be delightful! I can hardly wait to hear all the details! It will be fantastic to actually meet in person. Peter and I had such a fun time when we met in England. I know you will as well.

This will be so exciting for you !
.As you know Billie(blueaustralia) are great friends after meeting through the pacemaker site.We are meeting up again in April again.Yes Pete was correct in warning the husbands about us girls getting together.I was on the phone to Billie last night and we were still chatting an hour later ! Just imagine what it is like when we are all together....the men cant keep up with us !!
Let us know how it all goes and I am looking foward to seeing the photos.
Billie and I will put up some more photos in April.

I am excited that you guys get to meet up and just a little jealous. Cathryn I have been thinking about planning something for some time now because pictures do not cut it for me. I think that we should start to really think about it. How amazing it would be to meet all of you.

Since America seems to make up the bulk of our member's.... perhaps we should ask Young George Bush if we could use "Camp David" as a good will parting gesture... for our convention and he could have us all ferried in on Airforce 1 and his little old helicopter.... now wouldn't that be great....he he

Just who is it I know personally in The White house? hee hee, I wish. I'll give it some thought....... Well, Mr Bush is the President and I am a legal citizen.... I see the connection. Camp David is actually owned by the American people which I am one of. hee hee I'll send an email and see what dates it might be available.... In fact I will get right on it! If Camp David isn't available anytime soon maybe we can all fly to England and visit the Queen and enjoy Buckingham Palace! Then Peter can play host! He would do a much better job than I. ha ha'

Seriously though, meeting everyone at once would truly be a lovely idea. How to make it work would be the question? It would take a planning committee, people from all walks of life to pull it off.... Any takers?

I'd love to travel to a convention!!!

Also, to Cathryn, if your daughter is still there from mid July to the 2nd of August, my wife and I will be in Colorado. After that, I'm staying in the Rockies for another week of backpacking in the Wind River Range of Wyoming. Not sure if the wife is staying for that yet, but we will have a large group from the Buckeye Trail Association on that hike and if there are other backpacking affectionado's out there please let me know if you want to join us. Because of the remote nature of the area there will be limited opportunities for day hikers, but maybe we could incorporate those type of activities in our convention site proposal.

I would plan something here in Iowa if people were really interested. I know of a couple potential places that we could get a place at. I think the hardest part is planning something that everybody could fit into or get time off work for. I agree that it would be nice to have a planning team to get something together any thoughts? I did ask the The Queen today but she said the palace is all booked out "some pop music thing!!!"
But she said "Sandringham Palace" is available and thats just up the road from me. I thought that would be Ideal.. the best she could do for getting all you pacers over here is a loan of the QE11 how does that sound ??? Pete
