Maybe it's not so much a boyfriend with a pacemaker that you desire, but to simply talk with other teenagers who have the same issue. Have you tried to contact PM support groups? I'm sure that they would help you find other teens.

Good luck.

Man do I ever remember being 13 and wanting a boyfriend so bad at the time because it was the thing to do. " To fit in that is" I never accomplished that though and discovered that it was ok. It took some time though. Now with your friend issue. If people truly are your friends they will not judge you or ever hurt you.
Don't be ashamed of your pacemaker or to show others. It is not the worse thing to happen. Worrying about people liking you is not going to get you anywhere. You have your own personality and style let it be known.
I am 22 not the same age of you but I can relate a little with you not completely. I didn't get my pacemaker until I was 21. Though I do recall thinking that these are the friends i'm going to have forever and I really gotta suck up to be in that popular group. Shocking I entered high school and didn't really talk to anybody from middle school. Now, I don't really even talk to anybody from high school but a couple close friends I made.
The other thing you got to realize is guys don't normally mind scars most look at them in awe because you went through something that they probably couldn't have don't be ashamed sweetie.
If you need somebody to talk to I am here you can send me a private message whenever. Take care of yourself enjoy your friends that you have and talk to your friend at church about why she would do that and explain to her that you are adjusting and learning to live with having a pacemaker. Thats the best thing and if she doesn't understand. Is she really your friend?
I pray that you can find happiness and feel at peace with having a pacemaker. I do believe that there are some other younger people on this site. Stay strong!

Hey! Yeah I know what you mean... I am also 13. I met a friend at summer camp, I don't think we consider ourselves "together", but it would be nice. He doesn't have a pacemaker, but I think it would be awesome to have someone with a PM!

Hey,
I'm 13 too and have a PM.
I haven't met any other ppl my
age that have PMs but most ppl

Enjoy your life!

Hey,

After living with a PM for 16 years I gotta tell ya, enjoy your life. Ya I am a bit older (27) and I think I can relate to some of your fears though about what ppl will think ect. But once you get a bit older that doesn't matter anymore. Remember a PM can stop the 22 bullet if shot directly at it and it can also slow or stop a 38 special ... ya I am guy and those are the things I tell other peeps to break the ice.. haha!

anyways.. keep your chin up! This PM and heart issue is a blessing, remember that each day is a gift and its your duty to live it to the best of your ability. Not many ppl are given such gifts in life, don't sell this one out for the "cool" ppl in this world. Its not worth it.

Peace!

Michael
