Seat belts

The soft touch seat belt did not help me because of the location of my implant. The biggest problem I have had for almost two years now is because my lead is just under the skin with no fat in that area so the seat belt would cause pain and irritation quite often. Going by the Kragen Auto store today, I decided to just see if they had anything to help. That is where I found a sheepskin seat belt cover that is about ten or twelve inches long with a velcro strip to close it. It really works wonders because it is so nice and soft and protects the area completely. Hope it works for you if you have the same problem. aljdeer

Hello Adeer. I did purchase the soft touch seat belt cover and just couldn't use it. Very uncomfortable. Seems like it would not stay in place. I found several types of sheep skin covers in Walmart in the sporting department. The price was very reasonable. They come in beautiful colors. Hope this helps.

Sheep Skin Covers

Aldeer, I had exactly the same problem that you did. The soft touch seat belt cover did not work for me and I began to despair of ever driving again without constant pain. Then I discovered the sheep skin cover and got instant relief. I travel a lot and once forgot to take the cover with me. When I drove a rental car on that trip, I quickly remembered what I forgot! I also got mine at an auto store. It is great to know from Joan that these covers are also available at Wal Mart.
