Pressure in chest due to flu

Has anyone got the flu? If so has anyone been experiencing pressure in the chest and want to pass out, as well have no energy? Would it affect my pm?

Also I have another question, does anyone have an enlarged liver? Please pm on that one. I am curious on what kind of sypmtoms you are getting from it.

Hi PM Pal.

Each time I get the flu I feel as if I am going to die. My chest feels as if it will explode and I feel so weak. My doc sent me to emergency the first time and last dose he did an cardiograph in his rooms. The only thing to overcome it is rest, plenty of fluids and panadol as required. It leaves you wrung out. My pm was working ok Take your pulse to find out your heart rate. Hope you get better soon.
Liver: I have had some problems but this turned out to be gall stones despite having had my gall bladder removed some years ago. I still produce stones and my liver goes out of whack when it is time for them to be removed. I do feel swollen around the midriff and generally feel yuk and sluggish.

I went through some sort of bug earlier this year. Bloated stomach just below ribs after ever a small meal, and this always resulted in lots of PVC's. Also low energy and just felt lousy. It went on for about 3 weeks or so. I'm feeling great again now. I have had several non pacermaker friends with the same thing. It just hits our weak spot (heart) more that the general population.
My main suggestion is to just ride it out unless things get real bad. Don't let the docs get you started on a bunch of meds that don't help and just make things worse. One thing I've noticed over the years is that the day I feel like I need to get in to the doc or emergency is nearly always the day before things get much better. In the old days they called it the "healing crisis". I mentioned it to my GP who is al old timer and he smiled and said "if very many found this out I would be out of business".
By the way whatever I had did upset my liver function for a while.

take care,

frank

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
