Now what?

I had my second sinus node modification three weeks ago tomorrow. I have been suffering with the discomfort from the ablation, but other than that I have been doing really well. The ablation was done because I was diagnosed with IST (inappropriate sinus tachycardia). I was very symptomatic to the IST and before the ablation I would faint regularly.
I have had three episode that have really scared me over the last few days, but I'm not sure what to think of them. First of all, let me tell you that I am paced about 70% in the atria and am very sensative to the pacing...I can tell my natural heart beat from one initiated by the pacemaker. These episodes have all occured during times that my heart was working on it's own at around 80 bpm or higher. I get very dizzy, lightheaded, and almost to the point of fainting. I have to sit or lie down immediately in order to sustain consciousness. My arms and legs also feel numb for a number of hours after the episode. It's almost as though my own heart beat is not adequate enough to supply the blood flow needed.
I called my doctor's office this morning and the nurse suggested that I go in for blood work, but no other advice was given. Do any of you have any insight as to what might be going on?
Thank you all for "listening", and I look forward to your responses.

Amanda

Hi Amanda,
I am sorry to hear that you are not feeling so well. My second sinus node modification is when I received my pm. I suggest calling in to see your dr. I had to get another ablation after having the pm because my heart found another way to cause me to go into tachy. They had to remove my SA Node almost completely and made me dependent in the atria. I don't know if thats your problem but you had a lot of the same symptoms that I had.
I pray that you start to feel better and that your dr will see you and get a manufacturer rep in to see you and look at those settings.
Remember also that you still are healing and your body has faced a lot of trauma. I wish I could give you a hug right now as I know pain just is not fun.
Take care and know that we are always here to listen.

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
