Ringing in Ears

Just been for an ultrasound for the ringing in the ears. Doc thought it might be a blocked artery but I am glad to report there is nothing wrong. Is this yet another sign of getting older!

By the way I am now nine weeks after op and all the people that told me to hang on in, you were right, it is getting better and I am due my test of effort as the french call it next week to verify that I am doing well without the beta blockers.

I am cycling and walk but cannot wait until I get back to running. Little nervous, but I know I will do it.

Still a little down and find every now and then a good cry helps and I do not want to take any antidepressants so for me this works.

Let you know how I get on next week.

Jules

Hello Jules,
I also have been plagued with ringing in the ears. I have had my PM since Oct. 2007. The Dr. says he has never seen that as a result of a PM. I am trying to learn to live with it. My ringing is so loud that I wonder if other people can hear it. HA HA

Yes, I have my test of effort on Thursday next week when they will see how my heart reacts to exercise under effort then I get the all clear for a run.

Am tempted though after hearing about you running. Might start slowly and build up.

Thanks Jules

Most people here including me have gone back to running after 6 weeks. I unfortunately have been straining some muscle or the other in my legs every time I've tried that I'm almost at the point of quitting.

So why are you not running if you are cycling? Did they tell you not to ?

You know you're wired when...

You have a shocking personality.
